Logo not showing

Hello and thank you for providing this great template.
The logo aside of the title in the menu bar is not showing.

Configuration :

• Windows 11 Professionnel
• go version go1.26.0 windows/amd64
• hugo v0.156.0-9d914726dee87b0e8e3d7890d660221bde372eec windows/amd64 BuildDate=2026-02-18T16:39:55Z VendorInfo=gohugoio

These are the steps (as per documentation):

• Create a new site :
  hugo new site foo
cd foo

• setup hugo module
  hugo mod init foo

• add module:

baseURL = 'https://example.org/'
languageCode = 'en-us'
title = 'My New Hugo Project'

[module]
  [[module.imports]]
    path = 'github.com/McShelby/hugo-theme-relearn'

• add new page:

hugo new --kind home _index.md

• add logo and favicon (as per documentation ):
  /assets/images/logo.png
/assets/images/favicon.png
/static/images/logo.png
/static/images/favicon.png

• run hugo
  hugo serve

The favicon is showing but not the logo aside of the Title.
I tried every possible combination (putting both logo and favicon in both static and asset, only in static, only in asset, etc....).
I tried both .png and .svg
I also tried to set path directly on my hugo.toml

baseURL = 'https://example.org/'
languageCode = 'en-us'
title = 'My New Hugo Project'

[params]
  [params.logo]
    src = '/images/logo.png'

[module]
  [[module.imports]]
    path = 'github.com/McShelby/hugo-theme-relearn'

Nothing works. I can see the logo in the 'public/images' folder but it is not showing on the page. Opening the web debbuger I could also confirm that there was no request to the logo file either. It seems just ignored.

Can someone please help me out ?

Thanks for reporting. You did everything right. This is a bug. See #1214
